Skin Care Website and Branding

skinsaviour website

We’ve just completed work on the base branding for skinsaviour, a great new range of skin care products designed for both men and women.

Their inital logo concept reflects the Punga - a native fern in New Zealand, where the inspiration for skinsaviour was born.

Using the Punga as a base we’ve expanded on the idea to create a brand image that reflects the natural feel of the New Zealand forests.

The website at www.skinsaviour.com.au draws from this imagery as well as combining cool blue colours and imagery that describe the fresh clean feel that the skinsaviour products create.

While we’re still completing the finishing touches to the site, it’s fully functional and receiving orders.

When you get the chance visit www.skinsaviour.com.au for a closer look.

Brand and Logo Experiment

brand type

Here is a very interesting experiment being undertaken at brandtags.net.

It’s the equivalent of a word association test.

Simply view a brand logo and type the first word that comes to your head.

Don’t feel you need to finish the test, I think it goes through hundreds before you reach the end.

You can see the results so far here.

Click on any of the brand names to see what people said.

The larger fonts are the ones that were typed most often.

Let me know if you find any surprises.

piclens

For all you Image Browsers and Researchers, I’ve discovered a brilliant new plugin for your favourite browser.

It’s called Piclens and it’s a whole new way to view any of the web imagery you’d normally search for on google images or flickr.

Simply load the plugin into your browser by visiting the web site at: www.piclens.com.

I found the process was easiest with Firefox which was a simple one click installation.

The program current allows you to search through:

  • Google
  • Yahoo
  • Flickr
  • SmugMug
  • Photobucket
  • deviantArt
  • and You Tube

and displays the results in an expanding 3D landscape that not only looks fantastic, but saves on having to constantly click the ‘next page’ button.

There is no sign up to use PicLens and it’s completly FREE!!!
You’ll need to use PicLens to get the full effect, so I suggest you go on over try it out for yourself.

Then let me know what you think.

The creator of the world famous ‘Pringles’ chip can system, Fredric J. Baur, of Cincinnati, was buried last week in the township of Springfield, U.S.A.

His children honoured their father’s request by burying some of his cremated remains in the pringles can for which he was famous.

Strange, but true… read the full story here.
