A Potential Source of Brand PR

I recently received an email from a colleague about an exciting new web service that is connecting journalists and industry experts together in a way rarely seen in Australia.

Sourcebottle.com.au

So I contacted the Director and Founder Rebecca Derrington to find out more.

“As a public relations professional and business owner, I recognise the need to continually review how I generate publicity for clients and for myself. And in the current economic climate, we all need to apply even more rigor to finding new and cost-effective ways to promote our individual expertise.

It is for these reasons that SourceBottle was born.”

So what is SourceBottle?

It’s a free online service that allows journalists to post questions to a host of subscribed industry experts in order to speed up the information gathering process.

If you have expertise in any niché area this website may be a great source of public relations for you and your business. Having your information cited in newspapers and media publications is a great way of branding yourself and your company as experts in your field.

It’s early days for this service and I’ll be watching with keen interest to see how it performs, but I would suggest heading over to sourcebottle.com.au and subscribing to the service so you can be part of the action when it finds it’s legs.

As always, If anyone else knows of free services like this please leave a comment on this story to share the information with everyone.

Thanks.
